A Future-Proof Network Backbone

To support Mazenod College’s growing campus and increasing digital demands, we installed high-speed fibre optic links connecting existing buildings to newly constructed teaching facilities. Fibre offers unmatched data transmission speeds, minimal latency, and long-term reliability—critical for supporting modern education technologies and cloud-based learning platforms.

Seamless Integration with New Teaching Blocks

As part of the school’s development project, new teaching blocks required full AV and IT integration. Scotcom coordinated closely with the school’s IT department and contractors to ensure:

• Structured cabling was installed during construction

• Network switches and access points were deployed efficiently

• The new blocks were fully connected to the school’s existing network backbone

Campus-Wide Wireless Upgrade

Alongside the fibre deployment, we installed a robust wireless network to ensure strong, consistent coverage across classrooms, staff areas, and common spaces. This included:

• Site surveys to map signal strength and interference

• Placement of enterprise-grade access points for high-density environments

• Configuration of a secure, scalable Wi-Fi network to support hundreds of simultaneous users
