Scotcom Services completed a high-performance network infrastructure upgrade for the Department of Agriculture, Water & Resources. This project involved the installation of Cat6A structured cabling and the supply and setup of a new server rack, supporting the department’s growing data and operational demands.

Why Cat6A?

To ensure optimal speed and future-proofing, we installed Cat6A cabling, which provides:

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet support over longer distances

• Enhanced shielding for reduced crosstalk and signal interference

• Improved bandwidth capacity – ideal for data-intensive environments

This upgrade significantly improves network reliability and positions the department for upcoming digital expansions and increased use of cloud-based services.

Rack Installation and Cable Management

A new data cabinet/server rack was installed to accommodate the updated network equipment. Our team ensured:
